Click here to read the latest BEACON Newsletter! The latest from Red Rock Elementary… With increased numbers of enrollment and more activities to offer, we’ve had so many exciting things going on at Red Rock! This trimester, we are fortunate to have Bruce Hucko teaching an art class. And in addition to our 4-H, parent, and community volunteers, we now have several high school seniors leading activities. Even the High School Art Club is getting involved. What a great opportunity for high school students to gain experience, a good work ethic, and a sense of responsibility while forming new friendships and helping the youngsters at Red Rock. That’s not to mention how much fun we are all having, of course. We’ve also started teaching mini-lessons during snack time which focus on developing positive character traits such as respect for others, having good manners, and taking responsibility for oneself. Students are recognized for displaying these qualities with “Responsible Helper” and “Good Friend” certificates that are presented before the entire group. We’re seeing so many students getting excited about doing the right thing!
